Superman senses that Krypto is about to feel deprived of his new life, so he goes to an animal shelter to see Krypto about to find a mate. Krypto is terrified of losing his best friend, especially when he learns that Supes is planning to ask Lois to marry him. Now the two fight crime and save Metropolis together, but Superman’s attention is… recently thanks to his relationship with Lois Lane (Olivia Wilde). Krypto also possesses Kryptonian superpowers, as he eloped with Superman on that Krypton-escaping rocket when they were both young. The result of the amalgamation is a film that should be enjoyable for both animal lovers and comics nerds.ĭwayne Johnson stars as Krypto, the dog to Superman (John Krasinski). Both films feature strange casting choices for popular characters, which is an invaluable tool for arguing that, both Will Arnett and Keanu Reeves are technically part of the Batman canon. ![]() Like in “The Lego Movie”, the cast of characters includes the entire Justice League (and a few other fun DC cameos), though they are disabled for much of the movie’s run. And there’s Kevin Hart in both movies, can’t forget that. ![]() Like “The Secret Life of Pets”, the film is an animated comedy that follows pets whose voices cannot be understood by humans as they learn to make friends for themselves without their coddling owners. ![]() On more than one level, “DC League of Super-Pets” falls right in between “The Secret Life of Pets” and “The Lego Movie”.
